Our Oddington collection consists of four antique Himalayan wooden vessels and pots of varying sizes. Each one is hand carved from solid wood with beautiful line carvings. All four pots have a wonderful warm aged patina and their own individual markings, knots, gentle cracks and quirks that come with the age and nature of them. The three larger sizes have lids on them, which add to the interest and character of them. We believe they were initial used for storing food stuffs, like spices, but are now only to be used for decoration. We have been told they were previously owned by a Cotswold’s Lady, and that they have even been included in a painting, which we’d love to track down. We hope you love the unique and rustic nature of them as much as we do.
This large lidded pot is a true statement piece, perfect for being the central piece on a console table, or stand alone on a plinth or stool. It would look fantastic styled with dried or faux flowers. Pair with the medium size for added impact.
